Consolidation Implementation Committee
The Consolidation Implementation Committee, with representatives from each institution, was appointed by USG Chancellor Hank Huckaby. This group will provide overall guidance for the consolidation process and make recommendations to the Board of Regents as needed.
The day-to-day planning of consolidation will be directed by the Executive Planning Team, comprised of the current vice presidents of the two institutions. That group has developed numerous work groups with representatives from both Gainesville State College and North Georgia College & State University to address the more detailed aspects of consolidation.
Executive Planning Team
The Executive Planning Team is composed of the current vice presidents of each institution. This group directs the day-to-day planning of the consolidation effort and guides more detailed work teams for their areas of operation.
Operating Systems Work Groups
Unit- and departmental-level work groups, composed of representatives from each institution, have been formed to identify, evaluate and address many of the operational issues related to consolidation. Each of the work groups reports through vice presidents serving on the Executive Planning Team. The composition of the work groups is subject to change depending on the responsibilities of each functional area, the needs identified through the process, and the expertise required to accomplish their work.
