The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia elected in January 2012 to consolidate Gainesville State College and North Georgia College & State University to enhance higher education and degree completion opportunities for Georgians. The consolidation is expected to become effective in January 2013.
Ours is one of four consolidations being implemented across the state.
